About Us
Will Lassiter
Will is the owner of Osprey Guide Service. He was born in North Carolina and was bitten by the fishing bug early in his youth. Farm ponds full of bluegill and bass were his early classrooms. He was introduced to the fly rod in his early teens and havs been an eager fly angler ever since.
After graduating college in NC, Will moved to Montana for that “fun summer after college” and never went back.
There were too many places to see and fish that he knew that he couldn’t leave. After spending a number of years working with Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop and listening to how much our customers enjoyed fishing with the guides, Will knew that he had to make a career change!
"Guiding fishermen and introducing new people to the sport is not simply an occupation. It’s become integral to who and what I have become. It’s the love of the sport and the people who do it that makes this the best job in the world! I hope that you’ll give us the opportunity to show you an amazing fishing experience whether it’s your first time or hundredth."

OUR GUIDES
Every guide that you will fish with has been selected and screened by owner Will Lassiter. Will likes to think that he's got very high standards when it comes to someone that you might fish with. A great guide isn’t simply a good fisherman. If you’ve fished around, you might have learned that the hard way! A great guide is someone who is skilled not only in fishing, but also in people and in managing the day based on the fisherman’s expectations. We know when we go fishing, there are things we enjoy, things we don’t, things we’d like to learn, and places we’d like to see. We want to make sure that you have all those opportunities presented to you for your days on the water. The guides that we use are all people who buy in to this philosophy. We enjoy teaching, we enjoy showing clients new things, we enjoy a great day on the water. We also love catching fish! Sometimes however, when you’re dealing with wild fish (no hatchery trout in Montana!) the stars don’t align. That’s when a really good guide shines! Whether it’s knowing that one secret sport when the fish always eats or taking the opportunity to work on new techniques, a good guide can seize that opportunity to make a good day great.
